Certus Credit is a debt advisory firm. We represent operating businesses seeking commercial financing, prepare the lending file, present it to qualified lenders, and manage the process through closing. This policy explains what information we collect through certuscredit.com, why we collect it, and who we share it with.
Certus Credit is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.
Who this policy is for
This site is for business use. We arrange business-purpose commercial financing only, and we do not offer or arrange consumer credit. The information we collect is business contact information and information about a business and its financing, given to us by someone acting on that business's behalf.
Information you give us
When you complete the enquiry form on this site, we collect:
- Your name, business name, business email address, and mobile telephone number.
- What the business is financing, the size of the financing sought, how long the business has been operating, and when the financing is needed.
- Your answer on whether you are open to an advisory engagement.
- Anything you choose to write in the free-text field.
If an engagement proceeds, we will ask you for further material directly, such as financial statements, a debt schedule, lender correspondence, and collateral information. That material is covered by this policy and by the engagement letter between us.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server information when you visit: IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. This is used to operate and secure the site.
This site does not run advertising pixels, behavioural trackers, or analytics products. We do not build advertising audiences from visitors to this site.
How we use information
- To assess whether we can help with the financing you describe, and to tell you plainly when we cannot.
- To contact you about your enquiry and to arrange the assessment call.
- To prepare and present a lending file to lenders, if you engage us.
- To keep records of our engagements and of the consents and instructions you give us.
- To operate, secure, and improve the site.
- To meet legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.
Who we share information with
Lenders and funding sources. If you engage us, presenting your file to lenders is the service. We present a file only to lenders whose mandates fit the situation, and we do so as part of the engagement you have instructed. We do not sell or distribute your information to lender lists, lead buyers, or brokers.
Service providers. We use a small number of third parties to run this site and the desk. Each processes information only to provide its service to us:
- Typeform, which hosts the enquiry form and stores the responses.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and serves the site.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces used on the site.
- Cal.com, which handles call scheduling where that scheduling is offered.
Professional advisers and legal requirements. We may share information with our own legal or accounting advisers, or where we are required to by law, regulation, court order, or to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to assess and respond to it, and afterwards for the period required by our legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations. Engagement records are kept for the period required for closed transactions. When information is no longer needed for any of these purposes, we delete it or render it non-identifying.
Security
We restrict access to enquiry and engagement information to the people at Certus Credit who need it, and our service providers are chosen on the basis that they maintain appropriate safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask us to confirm what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, subject to the records we are required to retain. Depending on where you are, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to know, to delete, to correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
If you would rather we did not contact you about an enquiry you submitted, tell us on the call or in reply to any message from us and we will stop.
Links to other sites
Where this site links to a third party, that party's own privacy policy governs what it does with your information. We are not responsible for the practices of sites we do not operate.
Children
This site is directed at businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
